Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center
The Olympic training Center in Colorado Springs is the main tourist Olympic Center in the USA. It averages 140,000 tourists each year. The Olympic training center was founded in 1978 and ever sense then has homed athletes who try to compete in the Olympics each year. There are several training facilities inside the center from top of the line swimming pools, Gymnastic rooms, basketball courts, wrestling arenas, and even indoor shooting ranges. The Olympic Training Center helps hundreds of athletes train each year for the Olympics in Colorado Springs. Colorado Springs was a great choice for the training facility because of the high elevation making athletes train a little bit harder.
Tourist Information for the Olympic Training Center
At the Olympic training center the offer great tours of most of the facilities that the athletes use. You will be able to see real athletes training and might be able to talk to them as well. Inside the training center you will also be able to see the Hall of Fame of the USA Olympics, where you will be able to see photos of athletes who were amazing for their time. The tour consists of a 12 minute film and the tour is a total of 45 minutes long. At the end of the tour you will be taken back to the gift shop where you will be able to buy all of the USA Team gear that you want which will help support the athletes.
WHEN ARE THE TOURS?
In the summer the tours come every half an hour but in the winter the tours come every hour. The timing makes it easy to explore the Olympic Training Center. But if you go in winter warning most of the tour is outside so you will need to bring your jacket along. The last tour everyday goes at 4:30 pm.

How to get there
The Olympic Training Center is located just of Union Blvd on the corner of monument to address is 1 Olympic Plaza Colorado Springs, CO 80909. Exit highway I-25 at the Unitah Exit. Take a left of the highway onto Unitah street then take a right on to Union then it will be on your right hand side. There is free parking located inside the facility. The whole tour is handicap accessible.
